We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Research Instructor to join our team at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting human studies, working on projects related to NIH grants, and collaborating with other members of the Functional and Metabolic Imaging Group.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct human studies and research projects related to pulmonary imaging and hyperpolarized gas MRI
- Develop and implement non-rigid image registration techniques for accurate assessment of dynamic imaging of the lung
- Collaborate with research coordinator, graduate students, postdocs, and other faculty members in the FMIG
- Develop and implement pulse sequence development on Siemens scanners
- Contribute to the development of image processing techniques for pulmonary imaging
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- Expertise in pulmonary imaging, hyperpolarized gas MRI, and non-rigid image registration techniques
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated published work in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of expertise
