Credit Risk Specialist

This is a dynamic position within the CFO organization, responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing corporate credit risks. The successful candidate will be part of a team that reviews, analyzes, and monitors credit for energy counterparties, business partners, and key vendors/service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze credit for energy counterparties, business partners, and key vendors/service providers, including reviewing and supplementing credit reviews provided by service providers.
- Develop and implement methodologies for internal credit review processes, including coordinating activities with internal credit committees.
- Monitor compliance with credit policy and standard credit provisions established for master contracts.
- Provide credit recommendations to senior management and solicit feedback from individuals throughout the company.
- Review, analyze, and monitor credit for energy counterparties, business partners, and key vendors/service providers, including preparing creditworthiness assessments and monitoring changes to creditworthiness.
- Develop and implement methodologies for internal credit review processes, including coordinating meetings and activities of the internal credit committee.
- Monitor credit exposure in compliance with credit policy and master contract standards, including reviewing and negotiating credit provisions within master electricity and gas contracts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 4-5+ years of experience performing analysis and assessment of credit risk and managing credit risk programs.
- Progressive financial, business, or equity analysis experience, with energy experience a strong plus.
This position requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills, as well as moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge. Banking and/or energy experience, as well as Bloomberg knowledge, would be a plus.
