About the Position
We are seeking an Automotive Technician who specializes in the repair and overhaul of braking systems, ignition systems, electrical systems, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems. This role also involves inspecting, repairing, overhauling, and assembling automotive electrical components such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters, along with performing other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and enhancements on gasoline and diesel vehicles and machinery.
- Diagnose issues efficiently and accurately, providing repair recommendations.
- Maintain precise vehicle maintenance records.
- Ensure the upkeep of workshop equipment.
- Monitor parts inventory, place necessary orders, and confirm order accuracy upon delivery.
- Engage in industry-related training and review technical literature.
- Take responsibility for the quality of work and cleanliness of the workshop.
- Communicate effectively within the team and field operations.
- Be open to working from various locations and in the field as required.
- Collaborate as a team player to contribute to the success of our diverse and growing organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in operating vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair machinery.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with paving, street sweeping, striping equipment, and pressure washing equipment is advantageous.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational abilities.
- CDL certification is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
