Brightspeed is seeking a highly skilled Network Implementation Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and preparing engineering work orders for various projects, including land developments, new buildings, and network upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and define plans for the implementation of new plant construction or modifications to existing facilities
- Prepare plans and specifications, including gathering field data
- Assure that the most feasible, practical, and economical means to complete the work are utilized
- Provide cost data to support capital planning and budgeting
- Monitor and control project expenditure
- Oversee the installation/construction and testing of plant facilities
- Analyze local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment
- Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms
- Configure systems to user environments
- Support acquisition and implementation of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
- Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
- 8 years related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning or equivalent
- Knowledgeable and skilled in planning and/or engineering
- Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with Planning, Operations, and all internal and external customers, maintain budget, and assist with forecasting budgets
- Ability to maintain positive interaction between all governing authorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
