Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team at Thompson Engineering. As a key member of our environmental consulting group, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership on complex environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight on environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate environmental projects from initiation to completion, including developing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including government agencies, private companies, and other stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and project managers, to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including marketing and promoting Thompson Engineering's environmental services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, geology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong background in environmental science, geology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certification or registration as a Professional or Master Degree in a field related to environmental science or geology.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, with occasional travel to project sites.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, operate a computer, and perform inspections and sampling over varied terrain.
