About the Unit:
The Medical / Pediatric Unit is a 32-bed unit that provides care to adult and pediatric patients with various medical conditions, including CHF, renal failure, dialysis, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID-19. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and works collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients with various medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the state of hire
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
