We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. As a Systems Engineer, you will apply a structured approach to design and implementation of complex systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Capture and translate multifaceted requirements to transform them into capabilities and perform testing and validation of services.
- Analyze complex systems architecture requirements and oversee the development, testing, and validation of systems and services.
- Coordinate the integration of large or complex systems and services into enterprise architecture and oversee deployment.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Technology Management, System Engineering, or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology, systems planning, research, development, engineering, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
- Demonstrated experience capturing, managing, and/or mitigating risk in system engineering projects.
- Experience with engineering solutions in Service Centric Architecture, Cloud-based technologies, structured or unstructured Big Data, and/or Artificial Intelligence.
This is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
