Position Summary: The Plant Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing financial planning and accounting at our manufacturing site. This position entails direct leadership of financial operations and reporting, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with site management to enhance economic performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the plant's budget and manage monthly and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with site management to analyze operations, inventory, and assets, recommending strategies for improvement.
  • Communicate financial performance metrics to the Plant Leadership Team and Corporate Leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to forecast manufacturing variances and interpret budget deviations.
  • Oversee product cost analysis and standard cost setup, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage working capital at the site level, optimizing financial resources.
  • Ensure adherence to financial standards and compliance regulations.
  • Support the management of fixed assets, overseeing capital requests and project execution.
  • Monitor process effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Lead inventory management initiatives, analyzing slow-moving inventory and guiding routine counts.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all financial practices align with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and mentor finance staff, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional growth.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected (0-15%).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA/CPA/CMA) are preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the process manufacturing sector.
  • Proven expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in SAP and financial management systems.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operational data.
