Position Overview

A $500 sign-on bonus is available in accordance with AHCS policy.

Alleghany Highlands Community Services is dedicated to providing essential support and services to individuals facing behavioral health challenges as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is primarily focused on ensuring that residents receive meals tailored to their specific dietary requirements and preferences.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the dietitian to create and implement meal plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident. It is imperative that all meals served comply with food safety standards and are presented in a manner that fosters a homely atmosphere within the program.

We welcome applicants with a C.N.A. background who are interested in a dual role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (mandatory)
  • Valid Driver's License (mandatory)
  • ServSafe certification (required but can be obtained post-hire)
  • 3 years of relevant experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals and maintain accurate records of menus approved by the facility dietitian.
  • Ensure that menus are visibly posted for residents and that all food items are properly stored and labeled.
  • Guarantee that residents on special or modified diets, or those with known food allergies, receive meals in accordance with physician's directives.
