Position Overview:

Independence Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Licensed Medication Technician (LMT) to responsibly administer prescribed medications to residents while maintaining accurate medical documentation under the guidance of a Nurse. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, clinically proficient individual, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to the residents entrusted to us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm the identity of the resident receiving medication and accurately document the medication name, dosage, and administration time on designated records.
  • Present medications to residents and monitor their ingestion or application, or directly administer medications following established protocols.
  • Measure and record vital signs.
  • Document any instances where prescribed medications are not administered.
  • Receive and organize supplies of ordered medications, preparing them for resident administration.
  • Maintain and replenish medication inventory records.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of employment for a minimum of one year.
  • Successful completion of 80 hours of training recognized by the State for Certified Medication Assistants.
