Key Responsibilities- The RN in the Neuro ICU adheres to established policies and procedures while assisting colleagues in utilizing resources effectively. Engages in the completion of core measures, annual competencies, regulatory standards, quality initiatives, service excellence, and educational activities.
- The Registered Nurse may serve as a charge nurse or preceptor, addressing unit-level concerns in collaboration with nursing management as necessary.
- Facilitates assessments and reassessments tailored to patient needs, gathering comprehensive data to aid in developing nursing diagnoses.
- Creates a personalized Plan of Care based on patient evaluations, establishing mutual, realistic, and measurable objectives, and meticulously documenting this in the patient's medical record.
- Coordinates and directs available resources and personnel to ensure adherence to the Plan of Care.
- Active RN licensure in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice under Compact state agreements as per the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent degree is mandatory.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Completion of ACLS Provider training within one year of employment in designated departments.
