About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Furnace Maintenance Technician to join our team at Scot Forge. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial furnaces, which are critical to our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot Issues: Use a variety of test procedures to diagnose problems with combustion, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment, and dismantle, replace defective parts, reassemble, and test.
  • Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Install and modify equipment in accordance with code and specification requirements, perform calibrations, testing, tuning, and preventive maintenance as required by specifications and procedures.
  • Document and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of tests and calibrations, and prepare appropriate reports.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with Group Leader, Supervisor, and Service Technicians to understand and implement quality procedures, customer specifications, industry specifications, machine manuals, and instructions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2-year Associates or equivalent program pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial maintenance, proficiency on Computer (Microsoft applications).
