Job Title: Medical Assistant

Join our team at Resources For Human Development as a Medical Assistant, providing administrative and clinical support services in primary care.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting primary care providers and clinical nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares the environment for patient visits, ensuring all necessary equipment and information are available.
  • Greets patients, completes vital signs, and assists with therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintains accurate and complete medical records using standard filing systems.
  • Performs inventory control and ordering supplies as assigned.
  • Initiates and performs rapid HIV tests, completes necessary paperwork, and assists with referrals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of PA
  • Computer competency with Word Processing
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Exemplary organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to function as a team member
  • Highly responsible and reliable, with a courteous demeanor
Working Conditions

The Medical Assistant will work in a fast-paced primary care environment, with exposure to loud noise and physical demands including lifting up to 20 pounds.
