This role is pivotal in contributing to Defense Intelligence Enterprise outputs, which encompass foundational assessments, warning reports, technical briefings, and various analytical documents.

The WMD Analyst will provide critical insights to Defense, Service, and Interagency stakeholders, ensuring timely and precise evaluations of adversarial WMD initiatives, strategic threats, and advancements in weapons-related science and technology. Collaboration with the Intelligence Community, the Defense Department, national laboratories, and academic institutions is essential to address pressing WMD threat challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor junior staff while reviewing their work to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Contribute authoritatively to multi-disciplinary analytic teams, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant WMD technologies and trends.
  • Effectively communicate official government analytic positions during engagements with clients.
  • Represent the Defense Intelligence Enterprise analytic units as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and substantial experience in intelligence analysis.
  • Over 5 years of experience utilizing multi-INT databases for developing analytic assessments and presentations.
  • Familiarity with established Intelligence Community directives and standards.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and exhibit excellent communication skills.
  • Capability to convey complex analyses clearly to diverse military and government audiences.
  • Strong writing skills for articulating technical analysis results and program evaluations.
  • In-depth knowledge of state-level nuclear, biological, and chemical programs, as well as WMD proliferation issues.
  • Understanding of the technical requirements for weaponizing NBC materials.
  • Awareness of global technology control and nonproliferation efforts related to WMD.
  • Experience in assessing consequences associated with NBC weapon usage and CBRN environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or specialized training relevant to WMD issues.
  • Military or defense experience with knowledge of strategies and policies for CBRN threat mitigation.
  • Experience in integrating intelligence for CWMD exercise planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and related intelligence production centers.
  • Participation in interagency forums related to CWMD and nuclear security.
  • Ability to devise and communicate methodological approaches to complex problems.
  • Experience working with counterproliferation-related analytic centers within the DOD and Intelligence Community.
