POSITION OVERVIEW

The role involves supporting various aspects of patient and insurance accounts. We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual to excel in this position.

Ensure you meet the required skills and experience before proceeding with your application.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage incoming phone inquiries

· Welcome patients at the front desk

· Process payments from patients both in-person and via phone

· Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and staff

· Adhere to medical billing regulations and standards

· Handle insurance claims submission and follow-up as necessary

· Depending on coding certification and experience:

o Ensure accurate and appropriate code assignment

o Evaluate provider documentation for coding correctness and compliance

o Keep management and providers informed of any documentation concerns

· Collaborate with team members to address questions related to coding, documentation, denials, and billing

· Assist in maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized office environment

· Conduct trips to the bank and post office for necessary transactions

Note: Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

REQUIREMENTS

· Education: High School Diploma or GED

· At least 2 years of recent experience in medical billing

· Strong written and verbal communication abilities

· Understanding of legal, regulatory, and policy compliance in medical coding and billing

· Basic computer proficiency for using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other online tools.
