Key Responsibilities

As a Kubernetes and OpenShift Solutions Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating, configuring, and maintaining the RedHat OpenShift Container Platform in both On-Premises BareMetal and VMWARE environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  2. Managing and administering various OpenShift services, including Operators, OpenShift Data Foundation, Pipelines, Image Registry, OpenShift Serverless, and S3 Compatible Storage.
  3. Collaborating with development teams to containerize applications and address vulnerabilities identified during static and dynamic scans.
  4. Setting up authentication methods (such as LDAP), defining roles and permissions through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and managing user accounts.
  5. Configuring and managing networking within the cluster, including service definitions and networking policies to facilitate application communication.
  6. Overseeing OpenShift Container Storage (OCS) and OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads, including persistent storage management.
  7. Keeping OpenShift clusters updated through version upgrades and performance optimization.
  8. Administering On-Premise Elasticsearch clusters, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  9. Securing access to Elasticsearch clusters and ensuring compliance with access control policies.
  10. Building and managing the Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform.
  11. Developing and maintaining CI/CD systems using tools such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.
  12. Managing GitLab repositories, permissions, and version control strategies.
  13. Installing and configuring PostgreSQL databases, as well as monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus within OpenShift clusters.
  14. Demonstrating Linux/Windows system administration skills, including OS installation and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator are highly regarded.
