Position Title: Assistant Nursing Supervisor - Adult Psychiatric Care Unit
Position Overview:
- Collaborate with nursing management to oversee nursing operations within the designated care unit during a shift or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
- Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the assigned unit.
- Assist nursing management in the orchestration of patient care, staff administration, physician and interdisciplinary teamwork, along with general administrative responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory or must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA is required within six (6) months of hire.
- Depending on the specific unit, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA or an equivalent certification may be necessary within six (6) months of hire.
