Barista

The Beverage Specialist at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest experiences, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations.
• Food and Beverage Standards: Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food and Beverage Standards, and food safety standards.
• Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter, give customers drink menus, and answer their questions regarding ingredients.
• Order Taking: Take orders while paying attention to details, such as preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios.
• Food Preparation: Prepare beverages following recipes and serve beverages and prepared food, such as cookies, pastries, and muffins.
• Payment Processing: Receive and process payments, including cash and credit cards.
• Bar Area Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and maintain stock of Food, Chemical, and Paper supplies.
• Equipment Maintenance: Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Customer Feedback: Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.

Education and Experience: High school diploma preferred. Previous Barista experience preferred. 1 year equivalent work experience in either Beverage or Food Service, ability to use all standard commercial kitchen equipment safely and correctly, strong teamwork and communication skills, and experience providing excellent one-on-one customer service.
