Role Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing unit operations during assigned shifts. The CNC collaborates with management to direct nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating patient admissions and discharges to optimize care delivery.
- Participating in quality assessments of patient care services in collaboration with management.
- Fostering teamwork among staff to achieve improved patient outcomes.
- Emphasizing a patient-first approach and engaging in service recovery as needed.
- Implementing nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Managing staff schedules and labor resources in alignment with patient care needs.
- Overseeing inventory management and supply control.
Qualifications Required:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing; charge nurse experience is preferred.
