As an Automotive Express Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and performance of vehicles at Lakeside Toyota. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and their vehicles are in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough multipoint inspections of vehicles.
- Communicate any additional service or repair requirements to service advisors.
- Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles utilizing hand or compressed-air powered grease guns.
- Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles.
- Monitor and adjust tire pressure as needed.
- Lubricate moving components with specified lubricants.
- Drain and refill oil in the crankcase with the appropriate amount.
- Add water to the radiator and battery as necessary.
- Replace oil and air filters to maintain vehicle performance.
- Inspect all vehicles for potential additional repairs.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct.
- Follow dealership safety protocols to minimize exposure to harmful substances.
Compensation
Starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with opportunities for bonuses.
Qualifications
- Must meet the dealership's employment criteria.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Familiarity with various aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate manual transmissions are required.
- Previous experience as a technician's helper or apprentice is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to operate an automobile.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.
- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Requires significant walking and/or standing, with potential for extended periods in a seated position while operating controls.
