We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Radiology team at Southwest Medical Imaging Ltd. (SMIL). As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of nine IR Physicians and seven other Physician Assistants to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Fulfill primary role as a physician extender through interactions with referring physicians, allied hospital staff, and patients.
- Perform a wide scope of minor procedures, including central venous catheter placement and removal, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and bone marrow biopsy.
- Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding.
- Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and diagnose and treat illnesses.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies.
- Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes.
- Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding the coordination of patient care.
- Educate patients on their medical care.

Requirements:- Applicants with prior Interventional Radiology, Surgery, or Emergency Medicine experience are preferred.
