The primary responsibility of this position is to execute the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, specifically focusing on floor maintenance, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
- Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Coordinate daily cleaning tasks with nursing staff, particularly in resident living and recreational areas.
- Participate in departmental meetings as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of work and supply carts, tools, and equipment.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Assist in resident evacuation during emergencies when necessary.
- Respect residents' personal belongings and inform them of any necessary relocations during cleaning.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain and utilize cleaning supplies and equipment effectively, ensuring that all housekeeping areas are well-kept. Regular inspections of resident rooms for cleanliness, safety, and adherence to assigned tasks are essential.
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions regarding the preparation of cleaning solutions and disinfectants is required.
Must possess the capability to interact compassionately with individuals who may be ill, elderly, or emotionally distressed.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet and transport such weight over a distance of 50 feet.
