Bereavement Counselor

**Role Summary:**
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Hospice Chaplain PRN to join our team at Ambercare. As a Spiritual Care Specialist, you will provide spiritual care and bereavement counseling to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the support they need during this difficult time.

**Responsibilities:**
* Perform spiritual bereavement assessments of patients and families/caregivers in a timely manner
* Provide direct spiritual care and bereavement counseling to patients and families/caregivers
* Demonstrate exceptional service to patients, families, referral sources, co-workers, and other customers
* Participate in Continuous Care and on call, if necessary

**Requirements:**
* Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology and/or a certificate of ordination or commission from a religious faith group; completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred
* Previous hospice experience working with death and dying strongly preferred
* Comfortable in an interfaith setting and able to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values

**Compensation:**
* Competitive salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
* Mileage reimbursement and flexible hours
