Field Systems Technician

The position of a Field Systems Technician is essential in delivering technical support to project and sales teams, as well as clients of Vincent Lighting Systems. This role encompasses the testing and activation of control systems, bench repairs of electrical and electronic devices, on-site service, training, and maintenance of existing systems. Furthermore, field systems technicians offer customer assistance through various communication channels, manage service requests, and contribute to equipment design.

Reports to: Director of Project Delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate system start-up services for lighting and control systems
  • Conduct training sessions for end users on lighting systems and equipment
  • Perform field service repairs on provided equipment
  • Offer telephone support for system and service-related inquiries
  • Follow up on customer service requests
  • Maintain documentation for system start-up
  • Provide technical expertise to various teams
  • Execute bench repairs as needed

Qualifications and Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with lighting control systems is advantageous
  • Familiarity with theatrical systems is a plus
  • ETCP Electrician Certification is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential
  • Customer service abilities are required
  • Must pass drug screening and background checks

Travel Requirements:

Regular travel within the assigned sales territory and occasional national project travel. Expenses will be reimbursed according to company policies.
