Job Summary

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the organization's networks for any security breaches and investigating/mitigating any issues. This role requires a strong background in cybersecurity and experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, particularly Infrastructure as a Service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity and a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Terraform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or similar systems, and be able to provide mentorship to junior engineers. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will also be responsible for developing security standards and best practices and working as a technical expert across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor the organization's networks for security breaches and investigate/mitigate any issues
- Maintain software, firewalls, and data encryption programs to ensure sensitive information is protected
- Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
- Develop security standards and best practices and work as a technical expert across multiple projects
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

- 7 years of experience providing cyber security support for IT systems
- Cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, particularly Infrastructure as a Service
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows system administration
- Experience with Terraform
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Minimum 7 years experience working in cybersecurity
- Strong experience working with AWS
- Experience with Terraform
- Strongly preferred to have experience with RHEL or similar systems (Linux, Ubuntu, Centos, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

- Federal govt. experience supporting Army, DoD, or Intel
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- IAT Level III or IAM Level III
