We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to enhance the communication skills of students in a supportive educational environment. This role is integral to our mission of providing exceptional services to students across Michigan.
Position Overview:
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work within a single school setting, managing a reasonable caseload while delivering high-quality therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' speech and language capabilities to formulate effective treatment strategies.
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy in alignment with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive reports to identify strengths and areas for improvement in communication skills.
- Utilize current research and professional literature to inform clinical decisions.
- Create an engaging learning atmosphere through effective management strategies.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborative team discussions.
- Develop treatment plans in partnership with educational staff that prioritize the needs of students and their families.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational guidelines and regulations.
- Support teachers in recognizing and addressing speech and language challenges in students.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
