Our organization is dedicated to delivering healthcare to underserved communities, and we are seeking a skilled physician to join our team.", "POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES": "
\t* Obtain health history and perform physical examinations for each patient encounter.
\t* Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment, which may include laboratory, medication, diagnostic, or consultative services.
\t* Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and appropriate referrals.
\t* Prescribe medication in accordance with Wisconsin statute and professional practice guidelines.
\t* Review, sign, date, and arrange for follow-up of incoming reports for patients assigned to physician for continuity or as part of cross-coverage or supervisory responsibilities.
\t* Prepare forms, letters, and examinations on behalf of patients for claims of disability, workmen's compensation, injuries, and illnesses.
\t* Document all patient encounters in appropriate paper or electronic chart as determined by organization.
\t* Provide supervision to clinical staff within department and Advanced Practitioners as it relates to continuity of patient care.
\t* Adhere to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times.
\t* Participate in specialty-specific call and perform physician rounds and other inpatient care for clinic patients hospitalized at institutions with which the clinic has an agreement for hospitalization of its patients.
\t* Participate in the development of clinic protocols, quality improvement procedures, implementation of best practices, and medication formulary.
\t* Fulfill 40 hours of Continuing Education Credits within each twelve (12) month period to maintain and improve professional skills.
\t* Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
\t* Participate and cooperate in all reasonable efforts with the clinic to apply for and secure public or private grants, contracts, and donations, as well as for the purpose of obtaining all customary and desirable accreditations, licensing, and permits.
\t* Provide direction and leadership to the clinic's medical support staff, with regard to the patient's treatment and wellness plan.
\t* Maintain confidentiality of clinic and patient business.
\t* Perform other job-related duties, as may be assigned.
