Position Summary:

This role is essential in fulfilling our mission and commitment to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will be expected to uphold a culture of safety by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, thereby minimizing risks to yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assembly tasks as directed, utilizing standard procedures, tools, materials, and equipment in a dynamic work environment while achieving production targets.
  • Adhere to established guidelines from process instructions, blueprints, and directives from team members.
  • Implement quality assurance policies in daily tasks, inspecting products for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Operate CNC Mills and lathes to produce machined components from cast iron.
  • Maintain specifications by observing machining processes, including drilling and cutting, while ensuring adherence to quality assurance measures.
  • Engage with leadership and colleagues during meetings to enhance departmental strategies aimed at meeting quality objectives.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of setup experience operating CNC Lathes, including tool changes and setup monitoring.
  • Experience with metalworking, particularly cast iron and automotive parts, is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Preferred experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret and process written instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating ethical and respectful work habits.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
  • Capability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 70 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.

Work Environment:

This position is typically performed in a shop or warehouse environment, with exposure to machinery noise, chemicals, and other atmospheric conditions.
