Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team at the City of Clovis. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing infrastructure projects that enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public buildings
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with city regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to city officials and the public
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, and other external partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Knowledge of construction management principles and practices
