Pride Health is seeking a Certified Clinical Assistant to join our client's healthcare team. This role is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of a medical facility.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM EST
Compensation: $20/hr - $22/hr (Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and relevant healthcare certifications).
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring quality care for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Administer medications and immunizations, conduct EKGs, perform ear washes, and provide various patient services.
- Assist in routine office tasks and minor surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and their families as directed by the supervising physician.
- Perform venipuncture under the guidance of a physician or advanced care practitioner.
- Communicate with patients to relay test results, physician instructions, and to schedule necessary appointments.
- Handle telephone inquiries, triage calls, and serve as a liaison between independent laboratory services and the medical center.
- Conduct all laboratory responsibilities, including blood drawing, processing, and maintaining accurate logs.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience in medical assisting.
- Possession of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant back-office medical assisting experience for candidates lacking an accredited diploma or RMA/CMA certification (CMA or RMA credentials may substitute for experience).
- Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross), or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
