Behavioral Health Therapist II

UPMC Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician II to join our team at the South satellite location in Bridgeville, PA. As a key member of our outpatient treatment program, you will provide independent clinical treatment services to patients with mental health diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and detailed records of clinical productivity and patient progress.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Engage families in the assessment and treatment processes, as needed, and provide education on recovery principles.
- Participate in regular treatment team meetings to discuss clinical cases, review treatment plans, and monitor therapeutic progress.
- Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches and conduct assessments of new patients using standardized formats.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the diverse needs of patients.
- Collaborate with program leadership to prepare for regulatory and licensure activities.
- Manage administrative responsibilities, including caseload management and group census, with minimal supervision.
- Document all assessments, treatment sessions, and patient interactions according to guidelines.
- Stay current with new treatment approaches and implement them in service delivery.
- Review patient cases and conditions with supervisors and other clinical personnel, as needed.
- Complete clinical documentation on the same day of service delivery and provide information to patient access representatives and insurance providers.
- Participate in mentoring student interns and quality assurance activities.
- Assess patient needs and incorporate them into treatment plans and reviews.
- Refer patients to other levels of care or community resources, as needed.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment processes, as well as the current version of the DSM.
- Licensure, certifications, and clearances: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT; Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances.
