Senior Maintenance Engineer

KAG-Tech, a leading energy commodities and logistics provider in North America, is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operation of our terminal shop. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of all equipment.
- Manage local vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Oversee all shop operations, including supervising technician staff and interviewing/hiring new technicians.
- Maintain work order and vehicle maintenance records, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair, with a strong background in electrical systems and brake systems. Certification as a DOT commercial motor vehicle inspector and EPA 609 certification are also required. A valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge are necessary. We offer a competitive salary range of $24.04 to $35.50 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize and update the fleet maintenance management system to track repairs and maintenance.
- Lead the physical parts inventory, receiving and properly charging out parts to work orders.
- Inspect equipment for potential repairs and perform quality checks of other technicians' work.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Air brake certification in compliance with FMCSR 396.25.
- Certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSR's.
