Penn Medicine is looking for a full-time, day shift, unit-based Clinical Pharmacist specializing in both oncology and non-oncology infusion services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately prepares and dispenses medications, utilizing appropriate methods to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes while adhering to established health system protocols.
2. Provides timely and relevant drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
3. Ensures seamless pharmaceutical care across acute and outpatient settings.
4. Engages in the systematic process of evaluating, managing, and documenting adverse drug events (ADEs).
5. Plays a vital role in the management of medical emergencies.
6. Upholds compliance with medication-use policies and standards.
7. Effectively manages time to meet practice obligations.
8. Adheres to all accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety standards relevant to the practice environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist license in Pennsylvania (mandatory)
Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy (mandatory)
- Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency (preferred)
- Previous experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with infusion and sterile room procedures (preferred)
