Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team in the Lehigh County Maintenance Organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and vehicles to maintain the county's highway and bridge systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment and vehicles, including plows, graders, and loaders, to maintain the county's highway and bridge systems.
  • Perform manual labor, minor repairs to equipment, and preventative maintenance for trucks and equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, often in inclement weather conditions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment and vehicles.
Requirements
  • Valid Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed.
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission.
  • Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or equivalent experience and training.
