Job Title: Security Guardian

At St. Vincent de Paul, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guardian to join our team. As a Security Guardian, you will be responsible for providing security for our main campus, dining rooms, stores, and other security-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform security duties at various locations, including patrolling, crowd control, unlocking/locking buildings, arming/disarming alarms, and monitoring CCTV systems.
  • File incident reports in a timely manner and provide support to local authorities and SVdP departments as needed.
  • Perform essential operational duties, such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, serving, and stacking tables or chairs, when volunteers are not present or able to be on property.
  • Respond to emergency incidents, provide support, and take lead in providing life-saving measures, such as CPR, AED, First-Aid, and/or Naloxone or Epinephrine injections.
  • Monitor staff, volunteers, and guests to ensure they display a pass or a company badge to be on property and follow health and safety guidelines set by SVdP.
  • Investigate any suspicious behavior by individuals on property or in surrounding areas and take appropriate action.
  • Professionally handle disputes on property and take measures to resolve them, including removal of individuals and/or initiating contact with emergency response agencies.
  • Display professional behavior in all situations and maintain good working relationships with staff, volunteers, and clients.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of prior experience in a related position.
  • Ability to translate between English and Spanish is a plus.
