Lead Carpenter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team at Great Day Improvements: A Family of Brands. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing complex carpentry projects, site preparation, and the installation of various products.

**Project Management**

• Review work jackets with supervisors to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Confirm the accuracy of breakouts in accordance with customer contracts

• Perform site preparation, including any necessary modifications to existing structures

• Conduct carpentry work, including deck modifications, dormer installation, overhang cutoffs, wood knee wall builds, wall alterations, floor and ridge plates, and finish carpentry work

• Install All View, ComfortView, and Solarium products

• Layout and build complex wood roofs

• Perform complex carpentry duties, such as dormer attachment, fascia removal, fascia attachment, structural remodeling, and rehabilitation work

• Perform service work

• Collect necessary stage payments from customers when applicable

• Set up, take down, and repair displays used for outside marketing events

• Supervise and train apprentices

• At least five years of experience in carpentry, preferably in remodeling, with three to five years in a lead role

• Ability to use various hand and power tools

• Working knowledge of concrete, electrical, plumbing, roofing, siding, and metal break work

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Strong customer service skills and ability to provide excellent customer service

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and organized work site

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights

• Valid driver's license and clean background

• Post-installation customer service survey score of 90% or better

• Online reviews of 10% of installed jobs

• Ability to install all GDI products, including AV, CV, solariums, blinds, shades, awnings, and building simple decks

• Ability to perform complex carpentry duties, such as wood roofs, knee walls, and prime doors
