About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Global Procurement Team at Church & Dwight. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing activity coordination, execution, and project management for our raw material portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support sourcing activity and supply of materials used in the manufacturing of our brands.
  • Lead project management efforts for strategic sourcing events and raw material supply implementation.
  • Lead raw material sourcing and project meetings, including ownership of sourcing calendar.
  • Lead raw material price management efforts, including price tracking and analysis.
  • Facilitate timely purchase price variance analysis with Operations Finance and Procurement teams.
  • Manage and execute all steps of the strategic sourcing process, including developing RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, conducting bid analysis, and making supplier recommendations.
  • Support supplier selection, meeting criteria such as assurance of supply, service, cost, quality, regulatory compliance, and responsible sourcing.
  • Support and execute strategic initiatives within assigned categories to drive maximum cost savings, supply assurance, and value creation for the organization.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholder teams to understand critical business needs and support development of sourcing strategies to deliver results meeting these objectives.
  • Support the development of specific category strategies for the assigned spend categories, including market research/benchmarks, milestones, savings targets, resource requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Write and distribute complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposals; receive and analyze bids, quotes, and proposals. Award business and execute contracts.
  • Support routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing teams on product launches and transitions.
  • Negotiate payment term extensions in support of our company's cash flow initiatives.
  • Complete accurate and timely SAP master data updates.

Requirements

  • Skilled in the field of Supply Chain with a strong understanding of Procurement practices and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in MS Excel-based analysis.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
  • Strong business partnering, communication skills, and a strong process focus.
  • Skilled in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids.
  • High degree of motivation, demonstrated ability to prioritize and self-direct.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (required).
  • MBA (plus).
  • CPIM, CSCP, or CPM certification (plus).
  • 3-5 years of Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • ERP/P2P systems: SAP (preferred), Oracle.
