Responsibilities:


The Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for independently assessing and delivering professional nursing care to patients, following physician directives and established protocols, in alignment with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Infusion Registered Nurses focus on the administration of chemotherapy in an outpatient setting.

Our nursing team is proficient in chemotherapy and immunotherapy delivery, patient evaluation, symptom management, and education for patients and their families.

These nurses excel in performing ongoing and critical assessments while enjoying a degree of autonomy in their roles. Furthermore, Infusion RNs are tasked with obtaining precertifications, prescribing medications, executing medication calculations, and accessing IVs/Ports or initiating new access points. Our Infusion Nurses have the privilege of fostering meaningful and supportive relationships with patients and their families. We are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:


Must possess a degree from an accredited nursing program and hold an active RN license in Georgia, in good standing without restrictions.

A minimum of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience post-orientation or residency training is required.

Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

PREFERRED:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is also preferred.

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
