Job Summary

M. A. Mortenson is seeking a skilled Civil Construction Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials for various construction duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Perform general cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading
  • Provide work direction and guidance to junior laborers and apprentices
  • Effectively work and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers
  • Strong teamwork orientation and positive attitude
  • Professional customer service skills and detail orientation
  • Active listening skills and effective communication
  • Must have completed a two-year apprenticeship program and have experience in construction
