About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will work with students from K-12 grade levels, providing comprehensive psychological assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide insightful recommendations to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and IEP development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing various social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Consult with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and IEP meetings, contributing expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
  • Stay current with research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
  • Solid knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
