Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our distribution center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products through our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive and store incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to daily work orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
  • Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage, ensuring maximum storage capacity and minimizing waste.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards, ensuring high-quality work and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location.
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, including coolers, freezers, and dry areas.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using a motorized pallet jack or forklift.
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience preferred.
  • Motorized pallet jack and/or forklift certified.
