Position Summary: We are currently seeking Onsite Spanish Interpreters who are passionate about utilizing their language skills to assist others. Ideal candidates will possess a genuine commitment to their work and a desire to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consecutive interpretation services in person, as well as through phone and video remote platforms.
  • Adhere to interpreter protocols and procedures as mandated by clients of Propio L.S.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with Propio L.S. policies.
  • Ensure strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Foster quality service and positive interactions with patients, clients, visitors, healthcare professionals, and clinical staff.
  • Continuously enhance vocabulary and specialized knowledge in various fields, including medical, legal, and social services.

Qualifications:

  • Submission of an updated resume in English at the time of application.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation access.
  • Ability to provide documentation of current vaccinations as required by location and regulations.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check.
  • A signed commitment to confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 1 year of interpreting experience.

  • National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
  • International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
  • California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
