Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Clerk to join our team at Norms Restaurants, LLC. This role supports the F&B Department in purchasing and related projects, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations of our company-owned distribution system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Accurate Store Order Entry: Utilizing 10-key skills to maintain precise inventory levels.
  • Managing product shortages, quality issues, and credits as needed.
  • Processing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) for distribution companies and restaurants.
  • Preparing weekly reports on product usage, price lists, and inventory balances.
  • Maintaining accurate inventories for distribution companies and storage facilities.
  • Placing purchase orders with vendors at negotiated prices, verifying accuracy of costs, quantities, and product specifications.
  • Maintaining minimum inventory levels and forecasting demand.
  • Ensuring open communication with vendors, stores, and drivers.
  • Coordinating pickups with Select drivers.
  • Maintaining updated records, reports, and files on vendors.

This position also involves:

  • Assisting in developing training materials for Limited-Time Offers (LTOs) and other projects.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Receiving, managing, and storing samples for cuttings.
  • Picking and preparing Select items for delivery.
  • Receiving and storing Select items.
  • Keeping the office storeroom clean and organized.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Excellent 10-key skills.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Strong typing skills (40-50 wpm).
  • Basic math skills.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High organization skills.
  • The ability to interact well with various departments, restaurants, and vendors.

We offer a competitive salary for this position, estimated to be around $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location. The salary may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
