The Jacobs School of Engineering at UC San Diego invites applications for temporary, non-tenure track faculty positions in our Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) Degree Programs, as well as in our Engineering (ENG) Programs. Faculty members in the ENG programs may collaborate with various educational initiatives associated with the Jacobs School Dean's Office.
We are dedicated to fostering academic excellence and promoting diversity among our faculty, staff, and student body.
In the MAS Degree Programs, faculty will instruct graduate-level courses in several master's degree tracks, including but not limited to: Wireless Embedded Systems, Convergent Systems Engineering, Cyber-Physical Social Systems, Value Supply Chains, Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering, and Data Science and Engineering.

ENG faculty will be responsible for teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Current ENG courses can be found on the relevant course listing.
Additionally, we are open to offering new ENG courses and are seeking qualified individuals to teach these as well. Please check the ENG course list regularly for updates.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications (required at time of application)
A Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. (Two years of professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.)
Additional Qualifications (required at time of start)A minimum of one quarter or semester of teaching experience, either as an Instructor of Record or Teaching Assistant. Equivalent industry experience, such as presenting seminars or conducting training sessions, may also be considered.
Preferred QualificationsA Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
