Opportunity Overview
Lucas James Talent Partners is seeking a highly qualified Marketing Professor to join our team of industry professionals. As an adjunct faculty member, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with students in various instructional areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver educational courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
- Facilitate student learning by applying teaching techniques to best achieve course and programmatic objectives.
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans that align with DeVry University's standards.
- Participate in a comprehensive faculty training program and ongoing faculty development activities to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Model effective oral and written communications that engage students and improve learning outcomes.
- Set clear expectations for courses by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and evaluation categories.
- Ensure exam content and level of material correspond to course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrate consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.
Qualifications
- A Doctoral degree with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught is required.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
- Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration.
- Faculty must have subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
- Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
Compensation
- Visiting Professor pay is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location.
- Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session.
- Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN, and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour.
