Job Title: Cook

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Castleberry Group. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food products to meet operational and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cook and prepare food products according to operational and quality standards
• Operate various kitchen equipment, including dressers, front swamps, back swamps, grills, and food prep stations
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease
• Regular attendance and punctuality

Additional Duties:

• Report customer or employee complaints/issues to the Manager on Duty
• Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required

Work Environment: This position requires continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting in a restaurant environment. You will also be exposed to heat and hot liquid shortening while cooking, as well as frequent exposure to the freezer when stocking food items.

Requirements:

• General restaurant or retail knowledge
• Basic math and reading skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Multi-tasking skills

Shift Expectations: Irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
