Job Summary

The Lead Store Associate plays a vital role in driving sales and results at DSW. This position assists store management in all activities, demonstrating behaviors that align with the company values of Accountability, Collaboration, Humility, and Passion.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

Maintain a positive in-store experience by modeling CEL behaviors, redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals, and responding to customer requests and feedback with a high sense of urgency.

Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards, completing daily open/close tasks, and ensuring all associates are providing the benefits of the DSW loyalty program to every customer.

Inventory Management

Increase sales and success by maintaining sales floor and stockroom, enabling the flow of merchandise to ensure an appealing experience to consumers.

Help supervise and participate in the planning and execution of all inventory management related activities, including freight receipt, placement, markdown, and MOOS.

Human Resources

Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow policy and procedure.

Support team by training, coaching, and providing feedback to others, and provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years retail experience and a high school graduate or equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with good verbal and written communication skills and professionalism.
