Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Midwife to join our team at Summit Health in Rye, NY. As a Midwife, you'll provide high-quality prenatal and postpartum care to patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain detailed and accurate patient history, perform physical examinations, and identify problems to determine a plan for OB/GYN patient care.
  • Initiate diagnostic procedures, order and interpret laboratory and radiological studies, and provide patient counseling and education.
  • Prescribe medications and controlled substances allowed by CT law and as appropriate for therapeutic plans.
  • Document all aspects of patient visits, including date of service, chief complaint, history, social history, family history, office course, diagnosis, therapeutic plan, medication administered, and physical exam.
  • Order and administer injections and intravenous medications as necessary for OB/GYN patient care.
  • Collect fluids for diagnostic purposes, including blood, urine, sputum, and exudates.
  • Interpret Non-Stress Test results for OB/GYN patients.
  • Assist with patient triage, screen for Postpartum Depression, and participate in day/night, weekday/weekend call rotations at the affiliated hospital.
  • Attend to uncomplicated vaginal deliveries, assist on C-sections, and take part in antepartum and postpartum patient care.
  • On call to the ER for obstetric/gynecologic emergencies and maintain accurate hospital charting.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation range of $118,000-$140,000, based on industry standards and individual performance. Our team members also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life, disability, vision, FSA coverages, and a 401k savings plan.
