Job Description:

At Advocate Aurora Health, we are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Imaging Technician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care through the use of advanced ultrasound technology.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive non-invasive and invasive procedures to demonstrate OB/GYN anatomy under investigation. This will involve providing physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being, as well as documenting information and findings for physicians.

You will be required to possess advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software, as well as display a competent understanding and operation of ultrasound equipment. Additionally, you must be able to perform problem-solving skills as situations warrant, handle equipment with care, and maintain positive customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive non-invasive and invasive procedures to demonstrate OB/GYN anatomy under investigation.
• Provide physiologic assessment of OB/GYN vasculature and fetal well-being.
• Document information and findings for physicians.
• Maintain a secure and safe patient and work environment by being aware of safety hazard labels, pathology specimens, laboratory requisitions, and deliveries.

Requirements:

• ARDMS registration in OB.
• Certification in performing Nuchal Translucency within 6 months.
• CPR certification.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of ultrasound.
• 2 years of experience in OB/GYN sonography.
