Position Overview: ASRC Federal is in search of a Senior Vice President of Information Security to lead our internal IT operations.

The Chief Security Officer for Information Technology is tasked with overseeing the Information Security division and is accountable for the strategic planning, execution, and sustainability of the information security framework for ASRC Federal. This role involves close collaboration with senior executives to address information security challenges and engaging with fellow CISOs within the Defense Industrial Base to manage cybersecurity risks effectively. The position is critical in safeguarding essential applications and systems that underpin our operational and client service commitments.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative leader with a robust background in data protection and risk management. They will possess a comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, have significant senior leadership experience, and demonstrate a proven ability to guide organizations in making informed risk management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative for Information Security, fostering enthusiasm and ensuring the organization is prepared to implement and maintain the Information Security strategy long-term.
  • Collaborate with the CIO and business leaders to establish and refine objectives and key results for the Information Security program, facilitating cross-departmental cooperation.
  • Regularly update Information Security objectives and key results in partnership with the CIO and relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage with business partners and external entities, including regulatory bodies, to enhance confidence in the organization’s security posture.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value assets within cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Develop metrics-driven scorecards and dashboards to keep executive leadership informed about cybersecurity health.
  • Provide strategic leadership by integrating shared visions and addressing interdependencies across functions.
  • Build and maintain essential relationships with IT leaders, compliance, and legal teams, as well as operational group leadership.
  • Lead a skilled Information Security team that ensures timely accountability and visibility into progress.
  • Establish effective management routines to integrate workstreams and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Guide change management and communication strategies in collaboration with Corporate Communications to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity monitoring capabilities to ensure secure service delivery.
  • Implement Supply Chain Risk Management strategies in accordance with federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders to ensure compliance with corporate and federal security standards.
  • Oversee the formulation of ASRC Federal's Zero Trust strategy.
  • Keep the Operational Leadership Team informed of developments and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in information technology management.
  • 8+ years in IT security architecture, including network design and data protection technologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity laws and compliance standards relevant to the Civil Government and Defense sectors.
  • Experience in enhancing security architecture and technologies to mitigate risks and support business operations.
  • Ability to implement security controls in complex environments.
  • Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance to various teams.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on driving results and managing change.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to build strong partnerships.
  • High emotional intelligence to foster trust and inclusivity.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.
  • Experience in managing security programs during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Understanding of application and database security challenges and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing and risk analysis techniques.
